Count me in...

9/24/07- ILC Stage 3. 1+/12 nodes. 12 cm (do I win a prize?!). ES/PROG+ HER2 -. Don't know grade. 3 mos./Taxol, 3 mos./FEC. Single mastectomy ("delayed immediate recon") with a second prophilactic mastectomy next year. Finished Rads (34) on 8/8/08. Enjoyed brief drug-free window, then started Tamoxifen 8/25/08. Feeling pretty okay at the moment, but the road is long... So glad to have found you all, just wish it could have been sooner.

Hi Coco!
Welcome.
My first dx was triple neg 7 years ago and my second dx was lobular almost two years ago. My tumor was 2.5 cms and I had 4+ nodes.
I did Adriamycin, Abraxane and Xeloda- took nine months! Then had IMRT rads. I am now on Lupron and Femara and prophy Zometa to protect my bones.
I had a lumpectomy the first time and a bilat with immediate recon the second time.

I am glad you found us and yes- Jenni gives me hope too!!

Hugs,
g

Hi Susan,

Yes, we are tracking right along with each other, aren't we? Just have the order a little rearranged. I had a re-excision too; my margins were too close for comfort, but the re-excised tissue came out clean. So thanks to my excellent surgeon I had peace of mind. Yes, I do notice that I am a little "flashier" as of late with the Tamoxifen, and a slight drop in energy level too, but I start PT (physical therapy) today, which should help a bit with that. So glad to meet you!!

Gina-

I discovered this site by finding you on the Triple Negative Foundation page, while doing some research into a friend's situation. I jumped over here and was so impressed by your story (as well as others) and the community and resources you have brought together, I was compelled to sign up. A first for me! Thank you for this very real place of refuge born from your own numerous trials and deep compassion for others. You have truly spun gold here from a whole lot of straw!

Coco

Bear...... that's wonderful!  I see from your profile that we don't live far from each other..... about 2 hours.  I'm in Ponca City.   Would love to get together next time I'm in your area.... OKC/Edmond.
