Hi Everyone.  I am new to this post, but now that my brows (ugh!) have come back w/a vengence I need advice!!   I am a major domo makeup junkie and have made sure to apply it every day to keep myself somewhat normal looking (whatever that is, with no hair, lashes, or brows!) throughout this process!  I feel like the butterfly on these pages!

Anyway, help with my brows!  They are thick and weird and look like my dads!!!  Any advice!  Do I plug, trim, or give them a week to grow out a bit so they lie down more?  I am assuming they are in the stage where they have the remnants of chemo left in them???  And then real hair will come?

Please let me know your experiences all of you ladies who've been through it!!  Thanks a lot!!  Lee

PS:  I love bare essentuals mineral base makeup but I have always been an oily girl BEFORE the big C!!!   The bronzer and face color made me feel like me when I looked in the mirror.  Well, almost!!  ha!ha!

How long has it been since you stopped chemo?  I finished up 5/12 and mine are dark w/gray mixed in, too.  I will have them waxed when they need it.  I have noticed that when I did a little plucking, it hurt and I was pretty immune to that BEFORE chemo, etc., so it was weird it hurt again.  Looks like those follicles are a little sensitive after having been put sleep through the chemo months!  -L

Lee, you can do the Bare Essent???
I have it here but I can't get the hang of it.
And with the bronchitis.... I had a little mishap!
I opened the bronzer and had a coughing fit and the bronzer went EVERYWHERE! You can't get that stuff out of carpeting!

Hi Gina,  Yes, love the bare essentuals mineral makeup.  I am laughing (with you!) about the bronzer in the carpet!  I dropped some on the tile floor before I sealed the grout (we are kind of home/gard. tv people here and do a lot of stuff ourselves) and that stained the grout a bit!  But yes, I love it!!  I use that big, fat brush to kind of buff it into the skin, use very little bronzer on my upper cheekbones, forehead, down my nose, (very lightly!), and then follow with glee on the apples of my cheeks.  Then I use the mineral veil (which I LOVE), to seal it all in.  I have found that to be really helpful with my eyebrows to make the added color stay put!  And it lasts for me through workouts if I don't wash my face.  Let me tell you, too, I SWEAT, when I workout!
Seeya!  Lee  PS:  I am someone who doesn't like wearing liquid foundation, btw, so this was great invention for me.
