Ladies,
We are very lucky.
A dear friend of mine has joined our site.

He is a brilliant breast cancer warrior researcher and he has his finger on the pulse of all the new things happening in breast cancer treatment and research today. My oncologist thinks very highly of him and he has helped me more than I can ever convey here. He is very well known and highly respected in the oncology community. Personally, I believe he is an angel sent down to give us an "edge" over the Beast.

He has even been kind enough to present the case of a dear friend of mine to the top oncologists in the country to get her their opinions on what would be the best course of treatment for her metastatic disease.

You can find his new posts in The Cutting Edge forum.

I am so happy today to see his posts!!

Welcome and thank you!!!

Gina

I highly recommend you all click on the links to his newsletter. They are very informative.

I first met Constantine on BCO. I felt he was a very special person. He was so giving of his info and his time. But as par for the course, he was treated in a very rude manner by a select few and he stopped posting. Fortunately for ME we kept in touch.

When I was rediagnosed he was right there for me. He has been like my Guardian Angel.

Throughout all my new treatments he has been there. I don't think I ever would have had the courage to do the Adriamycin without his reassurance.

I am just so glad he is posting here. He put his triple negative info up here for our use and added things that do not appear on his newsletter... how cool is that?

I am so happy he is part of our family here.

Gina,
Xeloda, so relieved to know you're doing well.  Stay healthy and keep up the good work.  I never knew staying healthy can be the most difficult job there is, after all, you're working yourself, and each step forward is another step to say, "I can do this!"

Can't tell you how many friends informed me they would never go through the treatment; I can remember fondly, thinking the same way.  Faced with the choice, I suddenly realized how "LUCKY: I have a choice!".

So many don't have a choice, a facility, money, insurace, or even a supportive government to give their voice a choice...

Been rhyming too much, lately.

Off to see my "pretty blue-eyes Oncoboy" today...I think I'll buy a small tape recorder; chemobrain, neuropathy, memory loss, and he has such a lovely intellectually peaceful voice.  I drift off when he's talking, looking at his pretty blue eyes, wishing he was my son, or like in my favorite Christopher Reeves movie, "Somewhere in Time".  He and Jane Seamore fall in love as he goes back in time.  Ahhhhhhmmmm.  Love romance when it's written well and endures eternally.  The "meant to be, the search  for soulmates; thinking you've found the ying side of your yang; and the jerk truns out to be a wang.   Dang!

Have a glorious November day.   I am gioing to ask some serious questions, and must go through the piles and piles of papers.  Kept putting it off.
Maybe I will just take the notebook, laptop, whatever it is.  So much easier than all that paper.

Be well, thinking and a ptaying always.

(((Indi)))
