I am tired of looking like a dork in a clunky -internet-bought turban.  They all look  apologetic to me.  So far I have been confined to free wigs that itch, etc.  so I avoid them.  I may never have hair again because of the WBRT - which I hear kills the base.  I am still bald from the treatments that ended on Oct 27.  Whine whine - Just want to take charge of the exterior a bit.  Eating biotin & asparagus -  fresh frozen is still delicious!
I am thinking of the cool turbans fromt the 60's - I have looked for patterns, pictures, etc., to no avail - Has anyone found something flattering and comfortable and makeable?

Love you, partners - Mary

Hi Mary -

You can get a free silk scarf from Laurie Erickson's company if you are interested (I included the link below).  I got an "It's a Wrap" - definately easy but I had a lot of trouble getting it to stay put.  Certainly not vintage but you may find a pattern you like and it's FREE!

Mary,

Your beautiful face will look lovely in anything, even a head sock...lol.  I hope these ideas will help to create some ideas for you and anyone who prefers light scarves & soft head-wear that looks and feels great...
ACS, LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER...T-shirt as Turbans & using the sleeves as headbands...I have done this for years,,,lol, had no idea it was a fashion statement!  Great for sweats or chills...

The PINK RENEGADES'  6 episodes about Chemotherapy and Hair...are filled with creative ideas, her experience with Breast Cancer...and she's easy to love!  When you open her site on You tube, open all 6 episodes by clicking  " see all " .   Watch all six videos, beginning with  #1,  if possible... brilliant, colorful, easy solutions, and fun!

This young woman gives a tutorial on how to wrap your head...and she's so adorable...

Inspired...an uneventful New Years Eve, as usual...  I have been playing with fabrics and scarves all day...fun.  My hair...never re-covered, er, pun?  ha...  I never could stand the idea of a wig...and there are so many options...love the beaded and sparkling gauze scarves with tassels.  Years ago...using the Batik process, I made long scarves out of cotton gauze material, vegetable dye, wax, beads...I love them.  Fabric stores always have remnants, full of stretchy, pretty textiles.
Thanks for inspiring a new activity,((( Mary))) !

Happy New Year's Eve and Happy New Year, 01-01-10  !!!Those look like magic numbers...blessings, Angels & Faerie Kisses, included!
