Any good ideas for a $100 silent auction item?  I'm struggling with trying to find something.....was thinking of putting together some kind of basket or a piece of jewelry but would like something original.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I bid on a great gardening basket at a charity auction last year.  It was in a bushel basket the gal had stenciled a design on.  It had several small pots of herbs, a few nice hand tools, a bag of organic fertalizer, a cute watering can with lady bugs on it, a gift certificate to a local nusery, bright purple garden gloves, and a really cool gardening book.  It had LOTS of bids and I ended up winning it

Another basket idea would be one I just received from my staff.
Everyone knows I love to bake and cook, so this was full of cookie cutters, cookbook for desserts, muffin mixes, cookie mix etc. New muffin pans, spoons, measuring cups, and it was really great, since I had all ready gotten all the flower baskets and arrangements that you could possible think of.
Another idea was one we used for a fund raiser a few years ago. We took a small childrens wheelbarrow, and put in all the gardening supplies, including a piece of trellis, and some seed packets, potted herbs ets, it was a top money maker, and looked great!

Hi there, I just finished the major fundraiser for the nonprofit I volunteer for - last weekend - which is why I haven't been here for awhile.  Are any items donated that can be used as part of your package or are you paying for it out of your pocket?    Most of our stuff was donated so we could use it to put together some packages but one of my favorite packages was two dozen homemade desserts every month for a year.  Our local Starbucks had donated a single brewer (coffee pot) and a pound each of several different coffees.  I put together one package that was an instant baby shower with a gift certificate from our local bakery, my neighbor works for Gymboree and they donated, my girlfriend made a quilt for the package, etc.  We had dinners and a movie every month.  If you PM me, I'll email you the program and maybe you can see something that will give you an idea.
