Nope, I'm not talking about how many pounds you have lost....
 
I keep telling myself that this effort to get healthy is NOT all about the pounds I lose, yet I still tend to get obsessed about how many pounds I am loosing.  I wanted to start a thread where we can share the other good things that happen when we eat healthy and exercise.
 
I'll start...
 
First you need to understand exactly HOW deconditioned I was.  I was having a hard time gettin up the stairs without hanging on to both handrails.  My hips hurt ALL the time.  When I would sit in a chair, I would kind of flop into it because my legs would give out before my butt hit the chair.....
 
NOW-
I noticed last night that I walked up the stairs without using the hand rail.  Now when I sit down my legs hold me up as I sit down.  When I do recess duty, I can walk around the playground without getting winded!
 
Oh, and I was able to lift my big crock pot over my head and put it on a shelf!

I like the elimination of the belly bloat....it feels good to put on the slacks and have them not feel tight.

I also like walking down the hallway at work and getting an urge to break out into a sprint!  Excercise is habit forming!

Since I work out at night, I like sleeping more soundly throughout the night.

yep i'm noticing the stairs are easier too!
and whoohooo the swimsuit now fits instead of being a bit tooooo snug ... so i guess next week me and my suit and my bath scrunchy will head off to the pool with the dh ....

wow you are all doing so great....

Deb its so great to feel better... lol.. couple weeks ago I pounded ALL those stupid blue tube stakes back in the ground... you know and didn't feel it the next day... whoo hoo... muscles, forgot what they were....

Susie.. yup I look forward to exercise...

Jenni, next it will be a bikini..and everyone will envy DH..... I bought one, and it now has the matching scrunchy sewn in...lol...

Not me!

HELLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!

I dropped from 159 to 153 since Jan 1.  Now I'm stuck  at 153 for the second week.  I'm eating about 1,200 calories and  working like a fool in the barn.  I don't want to be actually HUNGRY.  What to do?

Dunno if it's being over the hill, but I finally got off the dime. Weighed 152 last week, and THIS morning I weighed in at



!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 149 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't weighed this little in a LOOOOOOOOONG time!
