Hi there everyone!  I apologize if this question has all ready been answered in previous posts, between the s/e's of chemo, working full time and MD visits with weekly chemo..I am a bit short of time.  I just wanted some thoughts on radiation.  I had a 2 cm mass in Left breast with one node positive TN clear margin, bilat mast with expander placement, after mast found 5 cm dcis on Rt, no clear margin.  I had DD A/C x4, weekly Taxol X1 (reaction, switched to Abraxene x11...hopefully will be done on June 25.) My BS didn't think I needed rads, when I asked my onco she said it was controversal if I would need it and set me up with a radiologists oncologists next week.  I would really appreciate your experience and opinions...plus any specifice questions I should ask during this consult.  Thanks so much for your help!~Kim

Hello L4T,
I am a believer in positive nodes=radiation.
It is the best defense you have.
If you did not have nodes and had a mast that is one thing, but once you get a node, you really need "local cleanup" which is what rads does.
I hope you are feeling better soon- the Abraxane is so much better than the taxol isn't it??
Hugs to you
g
