I was wondering if any of you have Anthem Blue Cross Blue shield and what was your out of pocket cost for your surgery and reconstruction? I just wanted to be prepared for the shock.

Carrie,  I don't have that insurance but you should have a max out of pocket info in your packet.  If not, call the HR person or BC to get the OUP.  Mine is $2500.  Once I meet that, they pay 100% except for my office visit co-pays.

Carrie,

I have BCBS of NC.  I have a $1000.00 deductible and then have to spend another $3,000. out of pocket on copays before they pay 100%.

I hope your plan isn't that much in deductibles and copays.  I just got my BCBS renewal notice today an there is a 14.7% increase in premium.

Good luck,  Brenda
