 Good morning Lord, it's great to be with You again today. I welcome this new day. It is Your gift to me, a new creation, a promise of resurection. I'm glad You are going to be with me today. Help me in all I do and say today, bring a smile to my lips for all I meet today, place on my tongue kind and gentle words for all I speak with today. And when the day's over bring me home safely." Amen.

"Look at the birds in the sky. They do not plant or harvest; they gather nothing into barns. Yet your Father provides for them. Consider the lilies of the field. Solomon in all his glory was not clothed as beautifully as they are. Will not God provide for you also? Do not worry about what you will eat or drink, or what you will wear. Your Father knows what you need. Seek first the kingdom of God, and everything else you need will be given to you."

Matthew 6: 26-33

"God our Father, we thank you for today. We offer you the work of this day as an act of worship. Guide our thoughts, words, and actions, that we may do your will and serve you faithfully. Strengthen our faith, that we may speak truthfully and act justly in all our affairs. May we keep watch for any of your children in need, and serve humbly anyone you send to us today. And may we live this day for you alone, and draw ever closer to you." Amen.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, bless the one reading this in a special way.

Open supernatural doors in their life today.
Save and set free!

Give them a double portion of your Spirit as we take back everything that the devil has stolen:

Emotional Health

Physical Health

Finances

Relationships

Jobs

Homes

Marriages.

Cancel every plot, plan and scheme the enemy has devised against them, in the MATCHLESS NAME OF JESUS.

And I declare: NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST THEM WILL PROSPER.

speak LIFE into every situation.

And, I thank you that nothing is over until YOU say it's over!

I pray particularly for their lives and their situations:

Their household is blessed;
Their health is blessed;
Their marriage is blessed;
Their finances are blessed;
Their jobs are blessed;
Their children are blessed;
Their grandchildren are blessed;
Their parents are blessed;
Their siblings are blessed;
Their ministries are blessed; and,
Their decisions are blessed.
Husbands are on the way;
Wives are on the way;
Mortgages are paid and cancelled;
Their hearts' desires are on the way;

according to YOUR perfect will and plan for their lives.

IN JESUS' NAME!

AMEN!! AMEN!!!

Each new morning I wake to find You,

Your're the Guardian of my way,

Lord I've embraced Your awesome grace; I am born a-new!

I'm reminded by rays of sunshine, You are my Guiding Light,

Lord Each new dawn reveals Your love;

Glory be to You!

Grace to greet each morning,

and Light to guide my way;

Walk with me each step, Lord, for this is what I ask and pray.

There is joy
in all:
in the Cannon towel, newly washed,
that I rub my body with each morning,
in the chapel of eggs I cook
each morning,
in the outcry from the kettle
that heats my coffee
each morning,
in the spoon and the chair
that cry "hello there, Anne,"
each morning,
in the godhead of the table
that I set my silver, plate, cup upon
each morning.

All this is God,
right here in my pea-green house
each morning
and I mean,
though often forget,
to give thanks,
to faint down by the kitchen table
in a prayer of rejoicing
as the holy birds at the kitchen window
peck into their marriage of seeds.

So while I think of it,
let me paint a thank-you on my palm
for this God, this laughter of the morning,
lest it go unspoken
.

welcome morning - anne sexton

I talked with God this morning, and lifted you in prayer.
I knew you were weighted down with much heartache, pain and care.
I knew you faced decisions, so hard for you to make,
I asked that God would guide you, and show the road to take.
I asked for God to touch you, and take your pain away,
be it his will, or give you strength each day.

He promised he will be there, to comfort and sustain.
He'll share your every burden, and soothe your every pain.
Just give him all your heartache, you'll feel a peace inside,
and such a joy in knowing, God's walking by your side.

His grace is all-sufficient, your trials he'll help you through
Cast all your care upon Him....for he careth for you.

The night has passed, and the day lies open before us;
let us pray with one heart and mind.

"The Lord God will wipe away
the tears from all faces."
Isaiah 25:8

Lord, we call on you today to comfort us during this
time of anger, frustration and sorrow.
We pray to you this day.
Give us strength to endure all that comes our way.
You are our strength --- only you.
Thank you for hearing our prayers.
Make us aware of those around us that need a loving hug today.
I ask you to bless them this day, as we share your love with them.
Help us to be open to your Holy Spirit
and say any words that you want us to say to them.
Amen.

“My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee and look up.”
Psalm 5:3

Holy God support us all the day long
Till the shadows lengthen
And the evening comes
And the busy world is hushed
And the furor of our day is over
And our work is done -
Then in mercy -
May you God give us a safe lodging
And peaceful rest.
Amen

We thank You, Lord, for this new day which shines sparkling with all the freshness and purity of the first day. Bless us with  sensitive hearts and childlike eyes that we may thrill with the beauty and joy of it. Help us to be happy as the birds, scattering their golden songs in air, and as trustful as the first shy flowers of spring, adventuring through dark and wild. May we keep this day as You have given it to us — fresh, sweet, and pure. May we fill it with earnest work, great-hearted love, happy play, contagious laughter. Help us to live that when we lay down to sleep, the memory of this day shall bless us with exceeding peace.

Amen.

Almighty God, thank you for the job of this day.
May we find gladness in all the difficulty,
its pleasure and success,
and even in its failure and sorrow.
We would look always away from ourselves,
and behold the glory and the need of the world
that we may have the will and the strength to bring
the gift of gladness to others;
that with them we stand to bear
the burden and heat of the day
and offer You the praise of work well done
Amen.

Jesus, walked towards Jerusalem alongside those who suffer.
Lord, hear our prayer...

Lord, you stopped to heal the sick and tend to those ill in body, mind and spirit.
Lord, hear our prayer...

Lord, you said, "If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
Lord, hear our prayer...

Jesus, you took the time to pray and to be silent.
Lord, hear our prayer...

Lord, you entered Jerusalem with peace in your heart.
Lord, hear our prayer...

Bless us, Blessed One, in Your love as we enter into the Holy Week. We need your power. Spirit of Love, Spirit of Life, Spirit of Light stay close
Amen.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" (Matthew 21:7-9)

Like the gold of the sun, like the light of the day, may the luck of the Irish shine bright on your way. Like the glow of a star, and the lilt of a song may these be your joys all your life long.Irish blessing

O Great Apostle of Ireland, and Patron of our people, so many are indebted to you for the great treasure of our faith. Receive our fervent thanks for the zeal and charity that has been an invaluable source of blessings to so many of our brothers and sisters. We ask your intercession for (here mention your intentions); asking you to submit all our temporal and spiritual needs to God. We pray great St. Patrick, that we always be devoted and loyal; our thoughts be of Jesus; our hearts be His shrine, so that when our life's path has been trod, we may be found worthy of eternal salvation. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Amen.

 This day I call to me:
God's strength to direct me,
God's power to sustain me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's vision to light me,
God's ear to my hearing,
God's word to my speaking,
God's hand to uphold me,
God's pathway before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's legions to save me.
from A Retreat With St. Patrick

How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them.

Dear God, as I begin this day
Let me turn my thoughts to you
and ask Your help in guiding me
 In everything I say and do.
Give me the patience that I need
 To keep my piece of mind,
And with life's cares, I hope, Dear God,
Some happiness to find.
Let me live but for today,
Not worrying what's ahead,
For I have trust that You will see
I get my "Daily Bread".
Give me the courage to face life's trials
And not from troubles run,

Let me keep this thought in mind,
"Thy will, not mine, be done."
And if some wish I do not get,
Though I have prayed to Thee,
Help me to believe and understand
 You know what's best for me.
I've failed You many times, I know,
But when tonight I rest,
I hope that I can kneel and say
"Dear God, I've tried my best."

I am listening.

How quietly the earth breathes forth new life.
How eagerly the sun bleeds forth the spring.

I am listening.

I am listening to seeds breaking open,
to roots growing strong beneath the ground,
to green shoots rising from winter wombs.
I am listening to thorns blossoming,
to barren branches laughing out new growth,
to wildflowers dancing through the meadows.

I am listening.

I am listening to the forest filling up with song.
I am listening to the earth filling up with life.
I am listening to trees filling up with leaves.

I am listening.

I am listening to the sky with its many changing moods,
to flashes to lightening, peals of thunders,
to opening buds and greening grass.
I am listening to the breaking forth of light in the vestibule of dawn.
I am listening to the freshness of the morning.

I am listening.

I am listening to the rain drops
giving hope to thirsty gardens.
I am listening to the orchards
pregnant with new life.
I am listening to the flower
bursting forth with rainbow colors.

I am listening.

I am listening to the brook,
to the song of happy waters.
I am listening to music
rising up from all the earth.
I am listening to spring
soaring in on wings of life.
I am listening to the sounds of spring.

I am listening.

I am listening to prayers
pouring forth from feathered throats.
I am listening to prayers
rising up from misty waters.
I am listening to prayers
of a meadow crowning with dawn.

I am listening.

I am listening to the growing
in the garden of my heart.
I am listening to my heart
singing songs of resurrection.
I am listening to the colors of life.

I am listening.

I am listening to winter
handing over spring.
I am listening to the poetry of spring.

I am listening.
