OK ladies...I know it is a HUGE cliché, but on Jan 7th I am making some huge changes in my lifestyle.  I am joining a gym (still makes me giggle to even say it!) and I am going to start a food journal to control my mindless eating.  Please notice I am NOT going on a diet.  I guess I will need to buckle down and weigh myself so I have a way to measure my progress, but this is more about feeling better than loosing a certain amount of weight.

SO anyone else ready for a new year’s resolution for better health?  Want to check in and keep each other on track?  I am great at starting things, but my follow-through is….well…let’s just say weak!  LOL

My “Go” date is Jan 7th, although I have started some changes already.

Anybody joining me?  Don’t leave me standing here in my baggy sweats alone J J

Deb C

Margo is gonna teach me how to use my exercise ball.

This should be fun.

Me too!

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas - don/t even want to step on the scale. Need to get to the gym on a more regular basis - just too busy with the holidays. Need some major motivation. I have my pedometer and ready to start tomorrow.

Count me in DEB .... I'll be the one next to you in the skin tight sweats that used to be falling off me!
Jan 7th is a great start date... my follow through is weak to say the least. Maybe together we will make it!

Got my exercise machine together - gonna take me a bit to learn to use it correctly and efficiently - I truly need help from you guys if I am to make this work.  I kind of get discouraged and just kind of drift away.

Like all of you, this truly needs to come off.  Back to keeping track of what I eat too.

Nicki - congrats on the 4 pounds!  WooHoo!!

Okay, I'm definitely in.  I have hit an all-time high and I HATE it.  I joined Jazzercise the week after Thanksgiving and I'm waiting for it to "kick in".  I have to admit though I ate bad even last week, but have been good so far this week.  (sort of )

I can tell I feel stronger and my sense of balance has improved already, so I definitely plan on sticking with Jazzercise.  All the days off during the holidays have disrupted my schedule somewhat, but I'm still managing to get at least 3-4 days a week in. Next week I plan on consistently getting in 5 days a week.

I need to start a food diary, but I'm afraid if I wrote down everything I eat, I wouldn't get anything else done!

BF and I are going to Palm Coast FL in April (not sure where that is) and also trying to squeeze in a scuba trip to Key Largo in March, so I MUST lose at least 15 lbs, (would like to lose the 25 I've gained in the last 2 years but I'll be reasonable) before putting on a bathing suit and wet suit.  Those wet suits show EVERY bump and roll....  I used this icon since there isn't one for puking LOL!

Here's to good eating habits and exercise!

Hugs,
Donna

OK....I started my food diary and I have gone for a walk the last 3 days.  I start the gym Monday.  I am worried that the gym might have to be a slow start...my LE flared in my arm and trunk, so I will have to lay off the upper body stuff until I get it under control.

Donna - if you want a luagh, here is my ffod diary for yesterday......realize I am not dieting...just keeping track of what I eat...this is NOT a recommended eating plan LOLOL

3 cups of coffee with vanilla creamer
1 slice wheat toast
1 poached egg
2 hands full of peanut M&Ms
6 leftover meatballs
handfull of carrots
dinner roll
about a dozen peanuts
diet coke
3 slices pepperoni pizza
3 big hands full of wassabi peas
2 hershy kisses

LOLOL...how is THAT for bad eating???  On the good side, I did drink my 8 glasses of water and go for my walk, so I met my goal for the day   I have found that if I start the journal even before I try and make eating changes I see all the things I am doing wrong in black and white.  It makes it easier for me to honestly see how BAD I am eating and make changes....

I lost almost 80 lbs before I had my kids by keeping a food diary and walking.  I know it works for me, so I am going to do it.

I am starting my healthy eating plan and gym on Monday....my journal should look MUCH different then
