So empty today.

Margaret,
so sorry to hear about your sister. Does she have peer support like we do with this forum? I pray that she gets some good treatment that stops the cancer!!!
)I think hystersisters.com had some threads related to cancer as well as surgeries)

Gina,
went to look for your dog bite post to see what happend.
So sorry about your bite!!!! I would attend gettogethers from now on only with Mr. Fluffman, he looks like business and would keep rats in check!!!!
When I am on the trail running, it isn't the free roaming big dogs that I fear, it is the little unpredictable roaches that snarl when they come running at me and try to cling to my foot.

Wishing you the very best for tomorrows procedure!!!!

margo, I am sorry. Your poor sister!
Calico- Fluff would love to run with you- as long as he can be in a golf cart. He WILL protect you though- I have seen him chase BIG dogs.

I know our hearts are broken today so this is my glass for today

Half Empty- Losing Deb
Half Full - Having the opportunity to know her, love her and hear her laugh. I will carry Deb in my heart forever.

Glass half empty today: Missing Deb
Glass FULL AND RUNNING OVER:

I found this quote from Deb and it sums up just who she was and how she lived her life!

"

My goal for today is to spend some time recognizing that, yeah, My day may not be perfect, but parts of it are still pretty wonderful.

half empty - My monthly check from Friendly House - food program for daycare came yesterday. It was 1/2 of what it was suppose to be. I depend on that to get me through two weeks worth of food, household supplies. They will pay what the difference is, but not until late Feb. (with my Jan. meals) 1/2 isn't going to cut it. So, I will re-budget the next two weeks.

half full - I believe things work themselves out; somehow

bubbling over - an old co-worker stopped by this morning. I haven't talked to her for a few months. She dropped off a card with a very nice message AND $500.00. I am still in shock. I could not thank her enough. I am at a loss. There are some very special people in this world. I'm glad to know a lot of them. All of you here, too. I have to figure out a way to thank her in a special way. Any advice?

Thank you all for the support for my sister.  We'll get through this, together.

I'm going back to feeling like my glass is half full.  I have always been optimistic so for me, that's the side to be on.  Let's see, I had my stitches removed from my foot yesterday, ob/gyn says I'm doing well but he thinks I may have an infection so we're starting on Keflex, and you know, it's made my week this week when my hairdresser (who is a personal friend anyway) and I decided to do something different.  My kids thought my hair looked great, my grandkids both said I looked so much younger, I had breakfast with my boss and two of my girlfriends this morning and they all commented on my hair, and to top it off, the ob/gyn's nurse asked me what I did different to my hair and how much younger I look......guess that means I need to send Carol a note and tell her that we're going to keep doing whatever we did this week

Margo- I tried to get some highlights thrown in to my hair before surgery-
I had the appointment all set up, I walk in and put the cape on and the girl said NO.
She said she wanted to do the whole head or nothing.
I told her SEE YA!

Glass half empty today: OW OW OW
Glass help full today: The new article about sex and the bc patient came out today

G.
awesome article, I read some to DH (who still has to 'learn'), I think I would print this article and at some time at the 'dating journey' put it out for a good read. Very sensitive writing style. I love it!!!
How do the lights look? No pain, no gain

whole full glass overflowing--

I just reconnected with a friend that i thought i lost forever 20 years ago.
I found her daughter on Facebook and found my friend there, too.
I gingerly and gently approached and she lovingly accepted me back.
We are going to get together tomorrow (Sat) and meet over coffee.
I am so happy we got another chance to make it right. Facebook isn't just for teenagers, it has made my world a little smaller and brighter!

mommaj -
how great for you. I hope everything goes well for you and your friend. That will be so nice for you two to catch up on your lives. I keep in touch with 1-2 high school friends. A couple of times a year. We feel like we've never aged a day during our conversations. or spent any time apart. I'm happy for you.

Janeen that is cool!

Thanks so much Calico! You aren't the only one i have heard from who is making sure their DH reads it! LOL!

Stacy isn't it amazing how when with old friends we don't age a day??

Half empty today: still pretty sore and uncomfortable from surgery - and not feeling too swift.

Half Full today: Went out for a little walk because it was warm today and saw some beautiful birds by the bay

Full to the brim - my older sister found a lump, her doctor was talking cancer.  But she had all the diagnostics, and it's benign.
