Lori!  Im sorry you have to go through all of this stuff yet another time.  I so hate breast cancer.  Just sending a big hug your way and wishing I could do more.

I can tell you about Melatonin. I take it every day. It is an all-natural herbal that promotes sleep. In the theraputic dose--20mg--is also has significant anti=tumor properties. There are no known side effects or drug interactions. Some people report drowsiness, but it's never happened to me. I've been on it for almost two years.

Other PROVEN anti-tumor natural substances:

*Omega 3 oils---3g/day
*Melatonin---20mg/day
*Green Tea Extract---5,000mg/day (needs 50% EGCG content
*B12---1,000mcg/day
*Folic acid---800mcg/day
*Selenium---200mcg/day methylselenocysteine
*Co-Enzyme Q10---100mg/3xday (take with oil)

For a complete list of what I take, see the CAM forum. I drive a long way to see my onc because I love him but also because he comes with a Doctor of Naturopath.

I hope this is helpful.

Hugs to you, sister.  I escaped the chemo second time around because I bit the bullet and had a bi-lat mastectomy.  But then, I had  NEW PRIMARY instead of a re-occurrence.

Hey All Y'all,

I'm doing great.  Day 10 of Xeloda and still doing fine.

Lori I hate that you've been going through such drama lately.  Now that you have a new plan in place, maybe you can relax a little.  I know, easier said right?   But now that the anxiety of the treatment dilemma is over it should take a load off.

Later Gators,

Watson

Thanks for the CAM. Fancy.

What did I do?

My husband died last May 6 from amyloidosis.  The beast that took him is unknown to most.  Little research--no money and not enough sufferers.

Anyhow, he is still taking care of me.  The first thing he did, I believe it was after his cremation was done and he was tucked up in his beautiful box all warm and comfey, was to let me know that he was safe, healed, overjoyed to be where he was, and he loved me very much.  In those few seconds, he healed something in side of me and made it possible for me to go on.  And I tell you I don't know who/what Eddie saw when he got to the other side, but I can tell you it was truly awesome.

Life is life, folks.  It has a beginning and an end.  It is not given to us to know when the end is.  All we can do is the best we can while we are still here.  This May 6 I am planning a celebration of my husband's life.  We will dedicate a monument for him at the Great Lakes Military Cemetary, and then we will all come back to OUR house, his and mine, and have a celebration complete with margueritas, music, and good friends.

I know you are all reeling from losing Cy.  Just trust that there is a reason, a season, for everything.  And trust, also, that Cy and all of the rest of your friends will be waiting when it's your turn to cross the bridge.  Perhaps she will be wearing her beautiful pink dress; certainly you both will be healed and healthy and young, and you can hug each and laugh together again.
