Well, after waiting for over an hour to even see a doctor, they didn't give me my herceptin. My normal guy had a family emergency and the guy covering for him was not good for me. He made me go through my history (which is always annoying). Then proceeded to do an exam (with a nurse present even though Keith was in there too). Then he asked me why I didn't choose chemo and then told me that I have to have a MUGA scan of my heart first even though I just had an EKG last month. I did get my lupron shot so bye bye period! So, now I go in on Friday for the MUGA and then back in next Tuesday to see my normal guy who will hopefully give me the herceptin. Unbelievable!

Oh Geez Sam!
WTH?!

Have you ever had a MUGA? It isn't bad. You get a shot then they scan you to see how well your heart pumps blood. I had an ekg first and then had a muga after.

I think you should of said when he asked you why you weren't doing chemo that if he is so hot on it why doesn't he try it and then ask you again!

(((((HUGS TO YOU)))))

Here- this may make you feel better!

I had a MUGA the last time so that is no big deal.

It just bugged me that I had a plan devised with the other guy and then this guy comes in and makes me feel confused about my choices. He felt the need to tell me "you know we don't really know what will work for your case". I already knew that from talking with my other doctor and that is why I am not doing chemo since they can't provide me any evidence of it helping me this time around.

I know he was just doing his job, but I really wasn't in the mood for that kind of stuff today. I was hoping to get a treatment that I know is going to assist me in keeping the crap from coming back.

It is so good to see Fluffy!

Sam, don't you just want to throw something when they do that?  Hang in there kiddo.
