Do you mean me???   If so, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!   Gosh, I've now had so many tests, I'm having trouble remembering what was when!   And the weird thing about it.....none of it seems like it pertains to me.   I keep waiting to wake up and see that this is a dream.   Or for them to tell me that it's all been a big mistake and I'm fine.   Anyway.....I had the initial CT scan, bone scan, chest x-rays, and MRI.   Got sent back for a PET scan and then for an MRI of the pelvis.   My case goes before the tumor conference on Monday....I go to talk to the surgeon on Tuesday about what they discussed at the conference and then have a biopsy done on my pelvis on Wednesday to see what the spots are (rib and pelvis).   Seems a little after the fact to me!   I also had the tumor markers taken thru the bloodtests (CFA and CET 15-3, I think!)   Both of those were well within the normal range.   So......I wait.....and wait.....and wait.   Honestly, I am never even sick so all this has just blown me away.   And all this is just preliminary so that we can START treatments or surgery or whatever.    It just boggles my mind.    Thank you for asking about me.   It really helps so much to have others to talk to who have been there ahead of you.   Take care.

Hey, Carolyn.  You might ask for copies of all the test results.  Keep them someplace where you can find them.  In a few years you might want to know what your test results were, and I assure you you'll never remember.  The other thing is, if you figure out how to read these reports, you can ask your doctors pointed questions.  You want to be an informed patient.  When all is said and done, YOU are the person responsible for your own well being.  Truth to tell, nobody else cares as much as you do.

Hey Carolyn, yes! I meant you!
I am glad the tests are behind you and great news on the normal tumor markers.
You made me laugh. I am still waiting for my breast surgeon from 2001 to call me up and tell me that they made a terrible mistake and I never had cancer at all......

Fancy is right. Keep a copy of everything in a folder. You can read the main website here to familiarize yourself with some of the terms you may start hearing from your onc. Also, ask away here! We have all become cancerexperts... you will become one too and learn "doctortalk" too.

Hugs to you,
g
