After struggling with the side effects  of WBRT nausea and vomiting we seem to have settled that down back on the Steroids again. I got my surgery date for Sept 10.When I met with the surgeon he said they will be able to do it as VATS which means 4 little  incisions recovery in 2 weeks then hopefully will get the chemo side sorted out.My radiation oncologist and her nurse have been wonderful and going above and beyond just doing their job. I am feeling much better and have great news going to be a grandmother in February no one seems to be supportive of tEdges cam stuff but will hit it full kilt once surgery is done pathology in and chemo plan if any in place.Funny losing my hair wasn't so bad as I thought have a beautiful wig i Haven't worn yet.Wishing you all a lovely long Labor weekend we are expecting Hurricane Earl to hit us here in NS

Great to see  your post, Mrs B - so you are in Nova Scotia?!  I have never been there, but the landscape is in my heart.  Sorry the WBRT was rough on you - done!  I am in Vermont at my sister's, enjoying the cool nights and unbearable days no AC here - we may see a bit of Earl, too.  Take it easy dear girl, and thanks for posting - LOVE, Mary

Grandma!!! Oh what wonderful news!!! I have heard of VATS and it is a good way to go.
You have been such a trooper through all of this...I hope Earl turns right and calls it a night!

Hey Mary, it HAS been hot as hades... but Vermont, oh how I love that state. I hope I can drive up and meet you one of these days.

Home after surgery VATS I had a little heart problem with rate control but they got me straightened out quick. The surgeon was able to do a lot of of surgery though the lat flap scars thereby not making a whole bunch more.My lymphodema arm seems quite good considering they needed to use it to start surgery then did arterial and jugular iv.. Now its wait for a pathology but not expecting too many surprises.going to stop eating so much eat healthy(will check the recipes here) and already started walking.I met a truly inspirational man who was given a 10-15% of surviving surgery(coming out of the OR) he goes home tomorrow Shelagh

Shelagh.

Amazing grace... you are in my thoughts & prayers.  Sending my Angels, Faeries, and universal friends to bring hope, love, and well wishes.  You bravely survived the Surgery... if it were me, I'd be whining & crying like a big baby!  You are an amazing, beautiful friend~  (((gentle hugs)))  All will be well, again...

Love,
Indi
